The province of Ceara is in the North of Brazil, on the Atlantic coast. The capital of the region is Fortaleza. This region of 8 million inhabitants borders the regions of Rio Grande, Paraiba, Pernambuco and Piaui. The region is surrounded by large mountains and mountain ranges, such as Ibiapaba, Chapada do Apodi, Araripe, or Atlantic Ocean to the north. There is varied, abundant vegetation here, as well as a good climate and excellent temperatures.
The rainy season is from February to May.
When it comes to culture, there are many places in the Ceara region that have important heritage sites to visit. For example the city of Aquiraz, the oldest in the region, or Serrato, which also offers many outdoor sporting activities. For tourism in the great outdoors another good place to visit is Baturité or national parks such as Ubajara, as well as the Cariri area. All these nearby attractions make Paracuru a great place for a holiday. |
